Volumetric reconstruction: matching and merging in dicom data
Similarly a simplistic reconstruction procedure can lead to inaccuracies in the relative alignment of the data from each DICOM image in the reconstructed volume, resulting in the dislocation of small structures. Conclusion: The reconstruction method described here generates matched and merged volumetric datasets well suited to the application of automatic image processing and analysis techniques.
متن کاملSystematic Parameterization, Storage, and Representation of Volumetric DICOM Data
Tomographic medical imaging systems produce hundreds to thousands of slices, enabling three-dimensional (3D) analysis. Radiologists process these images through various tools and techniques in order to generate 3D renderings for various applications, such as surgical planning, medical education, and volumetric measurements. To save and store these visualizations, current systems use snapshots o...
متن کاملFacial Reconstruction Using Volumetric Data
In this paper we demonstrate computer aided techniques in the area of the reconstruction of facial features from skeletal remains. We outline the desired features of a system for skull identification, and demonstrate our progress in the area which builds upon our previous work on distance fields for volumetric data. In addition to the application we demonstrate an accurate 3D closing operator i...
متن کاملMatching, Merging and Structural Properties of Data Base Category
Main contribution of this paper is an investigation of expressive power of the database category DB. An object in this category is a database-instance (set of n-ary relations). Morphisms are not functions but have complex tree structures based on a set of complex query computations. They express the semantics of view-based mappings between databases. The higher (logical) level scheme mappings b...
متن کاملGeneral Context-Aware Data Matching and Merging Framework
Due to numerous public information sources and services, many methods to combine heterogeneous data were proposed recently. However, general end-to-end solutions are still rare, especially systems taking into account different context dimensions. Therefore, the techniques often prove insufficient or are limited to a certain domain. In this paper we briefly review and rigorously evaluate a gener...
